Imagination beyond knowledge.
Imagilux builds the autonomous infrastructure layer for the Light Out era — open specifications, self-operating fleets, and tools that let operators deliver outcomes instead of tickets.
What we do
Imagilux delivers two complementary products that together remove operator toil from the infrastructure lifecycle:
- UMF — the open specification for building universal machine images. Parse once, deploy anywhere.
- BOREAL — the autonomous control plane for fleet-scale lifecycle management.
Together they let teams declare intent and step away. Compliance, patching, and lifecycle convergence happen without a human in the loop.
Why Light Out
Modern infrastructure operators don’t lack capability — they lack leverage. Every fleet still ships with hand-rolled images, drift between environments, and a queue of upgrade tickets that never empties. Light Out is the design stance that solves this at the root: reproducible, signed images flowing into self-healing fleets that converge to declared state without manual intervention.
Our principles
- Open by default. Specifications, SDKs, and reference implementations are first-party open work. No proprietary lock-in at the substrate.
- Sovereignty-respecting. Air-gapped, regulated, and edge deployments are first-class — not bolt-ons.
- Trust through provenance. Every layer is signed and verifiable end-to-end. Compliance is a property of the system, not a process bolted on top.
- Operator-grade tooling. Built by people who have been on call.
